Domino Printing Systems has launched the Egg Pack Printing Traverser (EPPT) – a solution for high-speed, multi-lane egg production line coding.
The EPPT combines Domino’s GxSeries thermal inkjet (TIJ) printers with a traverser system engineered for printing across all pack types – including moulded fibre and rigid plastic packaging. Offering integration with Moba Omnia and Sanovo GraderPro graders, the EPPT supports continuous production.
Available with either the Gx150i or Gx350i printers to suit different line requirements, the system uses Domino’s cartridge-based TIJ technology. The Gx350i-based traverser delivers high-resolution coding at speeds of 50 packs per minute. The EPPT also supports inline code verification, connecting to smart vision systems that detect unprinted or defective packs and enable automatic removal.
Domino’s TIJ technology is known in the sector for delivering QR codes powered by GS1 and enabling ‘eggtopallet’ traceability.
