Jungheinrich and Movu Robotics Form Strategic Partnership

Jungheinrich and Movu Robotics are joining forces in a strategic partnership, combining Movu’s four-way shuttle systems with Jungheinrich’s expertise in delivering complete warehouse solutions.

Jungheinrich becomes the preferred integrator for Movu’s shuttle systems, while Movu becomes a preferred supplier for Jungheinrich. This collaboration enables them to jointly build automated pallet warehouse solutions for customers.

Rising space costs, complex brownfield scenarios, and the need for higher storage density are driving growing demand for automated pallet warehouses. Four-way shuttle systems—such as the Movu Atlas—store pallets in multiple layers and depths, making them among the most sought-after technologies for high-density warehousing.

A key advantage of this partnership is that all intralogistics systems are delivered as a single, integrated solution. Service and maintenance are also handled by a single party, eliminating disputes between suppliers should any issues arise.

Movu’s shuttle systems are already in use in over 200 warehouses and have proven their reliability in various Jungheinrich customer projects across Europe and North America. For instance, an automated warehouse for packaging materials is currently being built for Coppenrath & Wiese in Germany, consolidating previously decentralized storage capacities into a single central facility.

Also, work is underway on an automated pallet warehouse for Mascot Online in Almere (NL), featuring approximately 11,500 pallet positions. Ten Movu four-way shuttles ensure high storage density and rapid product delivery. The warehouse supports the expansion of this fast-growing retailer and represents the first phase of a multi-stage expansion of its logistics operations.
